Alex RM2000 Case Practice

Alex is now 45. He has been convicted for production of child pornography and is awaiting sentence. This offense involved his paying a 14-year-old boy to allow him to take pictures of the boy nude. He had known the boy for about three weeks prior to the offense, having met him on several occasions. He has one prior conviction which related to possession of indecent material (images of children, mainly under the age of 16) that he had downloaded over the Internet. He served several years in prison for that and it was after his release that he committed the current offense. He has no other criminal convictions.

Alex married when he was 25. He and his wife, Donna, lived together for ten years. She left him after learning about his downloading indecent images and they are now divorced. They have no children.

Alex tells you he plans to move to Mexico where he feels he will be less likely to get in trouble with the police.
