Mr. Slick has been involved in a number of common-law relationships, none lasting more than 18-20 months. All of the women he has lived with have had children and the women have been on social assistance when they started dating.
Description of Sexual Offences:
2013 – Mr. Slick lived with Joanne and her two children, Shauna (DOB:2000/May/12) and Adam (DOB:2002/Apr/28), from 2008 to 2009. Following a health class in 2012, Shauna told her teacher that Mr. Slick had touched her sexually when he lived with them and that she had observed him doing the same to Adam. The charges against Adam did not result in a conviction. There were a number of incidents and they all occurred when they were camping with Mr. Slick during the summer of 2008 and 2009.
2020 – Mr. Slick move in with Mary Jane and her two children in November, 2017, after his probation was finished (March, 2017). Mary Jane knew nothing about his prior offences. Her two girls, Emily (DOB:2009/Oct/14) and Carolyn (DOB:2005/Dec/03) were 9 and 11 years of age at that time. The offences involved sexually touching the girls over and under their clothing. The abuse started in May, 2018, approximately 6 months after moving in with the family and continued until he was charged in March, 2019.
