A recent paper summarizing the strengths and limitations of the Static-99R in the courtroom was written specifically for judges, attorneys, and expert witnesses (Helmus et al., 2022). This presentation will review some of the more noteworthy historical and recent legal admissibility challenges from this paper. Recommendations on future areas of admissibility challenges and tips for cross examination of experts using the Static-99R will also be provided.
